Women's Comfortable Clothing - 4 Ways to Find Fashion Without Sacrificing Comfort

!±8± Women's Comfortable Clothing - 4 Ways to Find Fashion Without Sacrificing Comfort

Growing up in the 80s in the midwest, gradually making my way west to Los Angeles via Dallas, Texas, gives me a true appreciation for women's comfort clothing. Am I bothered that women no longer wear pantyhose when they "dress up?" No. Does it cross my mind that my grandmother is probably flip flopping in her grave as a result of my not wearing the proper undergarments, e.g. a slip and a girdle? Sometimes. But not for long. As popular as they are, I don't even own a pair of Spanx. I do have a few slips, but I never use them. I do have some tights and thigh highs but they are still in their packages.

I love this comfort trend that women are embracing. Today, women are looking for sexy, comfortable clothing options that are appropriate for whatever their lifestyle demands. Whether you're a housewife or a CEO, whether you home office or want to be as comfortable as you are while at home, women are no longer confined to strict dress codes, personally or professionally. The Spring 2011 runway shows gave us a glimpse of simple, easy knits that allowed women to look fashionable without torturing themselves. For many, women's comfort clothing, aka loungewear, means terry cloth/velour sweat suits and yoga-inspired clothing. But in 2010, we've moved beyond these looks. Sometimes our daily activities require us to look a little more dressed up than a warm up suit allows. And maybe we want to feel a little prettier than our favorite yoga pants permit.

So how do we achieve that? For a woman, here are a few rules of engagement when leaning toward a more comfort-inspired fashion look?

Rule No. 1 - Think outside of the box, don't have tunnel vision in your fashion choices.

Comfort clothing is more than just that terry cloth warm up, yoga inspired ensemble or your favorite moo moo. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't have those pieces in your wardrobe. But often times, you need to step up your fashion game, but hesitate to do so because you don't feel like being dressed up. Consider adding a wide, non-restricting belt to that moo moo and pairing it with your favorite comfy flats or riding boots. While effortless, you've found a way to show off your figure and accessorize. Pick basic pieces that are stylish, but are made from soft, luxuriously comfortable fabrics like Modal. Pay attention to the unique cuts in a garment, that can take a basic T-shirt, tank or cardigan to the next level.

Rule No. 2 - Choose items that can complement your most comfortable pieces, showing off your sense of style.

I mentioned adding a wide belt to your favorite moo moo, aka, comfortable, shapeless dress. How about pairing that belt with your favorite tank top, cardigan combination, giving you a sexy shape? Everyone has a favorite tank or tee. And these days, mostly everyone has leggings and comfy jeans. Pair your belted tee and tank with them. Add the right shoe/boot combination and earrings and you've created a new look without giving up the comfort.

Rule No. 3 - Don't hesitate spending a little extra to get the staple items needed to enhance your comfortable wardrobe.

I spent the most I'd ever spent on riding boots last year because I knew they were comfortable and versatile enough to wear with anything. It was the best purchase I'd made of the season. I wore them with everything and plan to do the same this boot season. They were a high-quality pair of Frye boots that weren't run over after a season of use, because they were quality. And they are basic, yet stylish enough to carry forward through seasons to come. I wore them with skirts, jeans, leggings, and dresses. I wasn't rocking my stilettos like back in the day, but my look was still current, sexy and most importantly, comfortable.

Rule No. 4 - Don't mistake comfort for an excuse to be frumpy.

As a woman, we all love to look good in our skin. You may not put the effort into your wardrobe like your favorite celebrity fashionista, staying on top of each and every trend, but be inspired by her. Keep the hair, nails and brows done. So even though you are comfortable and carefree, not limping in pain trying to sport the latest Louboutins, you still look amazing and pulled together.

The rules of looking and feeling your best in comfortable clothing are simple. Same as they have always been. If you look good, you feel good. Whatever that look is for you, discover it and wear it with a badge of honor.

Judging a Girl by Her Shoes

!±8± Judging a Girl by Her Shoes

You can find a lot out about a person through a variety of ways. Time and effort are needed to converse with a woman. Private investigators can be hired but they are very expensive. You can also find out by watching them closely. Because you do not have the money or the will to make an effort, you have no choice but to observe a girl from far away.

A woman can either be viewed in her entirety or you can hone in on one particular area or piece of clothing. Eyes are supposed to be the windows to the soul of a person. I can't honestly speak to that but I can tell you for sure that if you really want to know about a person you should look at their shoes and not into their eyes.  Judging a girl by her shoes is more accurate, as they show personal characteristics like her sense of style.

If you follow this simple procedure, you will learn a lot about a girl by simply looking at her shoes. The condition her shoes are in tells you a lot. Translation is the key. This is what you can do - make a judgment based on a lady's footwear.

Does she like the shoes? The shoe's condition can speak volumes about the person. The best way to see how a woman will treat her man is how she treats her shoes. A woman who is wearing old shoes may show she is tight with money and prefers to buy for loved ones. If a woman is wearing scratched up shoes, it could mean she is short on time. In all likelihood she won't have much free time to spend with you, either. Several facts can be gleaned just by a visible inspection of the shoe.

Are they in style? A woman's shoes, if they are trendy, say much about her. If she is up to the minute, then style may be vital to her. She spends a sizable chunk of her paycheck on stylish clothing. If you find a high heel or a stiletto, this can mean that you have a kinky girl on your hands. She has a side of sexiness that is worth finding more about.

What is the size of her feet? A woman's shoe size gives you an idea of the type of woman she is. Usually, you can tell a woman's build by her footwear. The size of a girl's shoes is one way to judge her. A woman who wears larger shoes is usually heavy. Check the sides of those shoes. It is possible that she might be overweight and uncomfortable about it, if they are strained and stretched out.

What did her shoes cost? You can tell a lot from a woman by how much she spends on her shoes. The higher priced the shoe, the wealthier the girl wearing them. Nice shoes could also show the girl has a good work ethic. This means more free time for you.

Ok, so shoes are not always the best way to judge a woman - While it's enjoyable, it may contain serious errors of fact. In the end, you can turn it into a game. If you find it works you will be very shocked if it is wrong.

Women's Frye Harness Boot - 2010 Hottest Styles

!±8± Women's Frye Harness Boot - 2010 Hottest Styles

I have been following the evolution of the women's Frye Harness boot styles for over a year now, and it's been an interesting line of boots to keep track of! Due to the rather amazing level of popularity that these boots have risen to, there have been new versions of the "R" harness boot added as well as some harness styles entered into other women's collections from Frye.

Here is list of the hottest Frye Harness boot styles for 2010:

Harness 12R Boot - This boot certainly has been holding its own in terms of popularity - it has been the #1 best selling of the lineup and still appears to be. This boot has a simple but bold look while having the ability to add so much style to quite a number of different looks for women.

Harness 8R Boot - Here is the shorter version of the 12R, coming up to just below the mid-calf level. This boot can go with everything from shorter skirts to jeans without a hitch, and are a great choice for ladies who are looking to add a bit of a shapely look to their legs.

Harness 15R Boot - When I first saw this taller version of the 12R released I was only able to find it in one shade of leather, now I know that it can be found in at least three colors. This boot appeared to rise in popularity even shortly after its release, and is a "long and tall" look with the bold, edgy harness.

Frye Carmen Harness - This boot really needs to be seen in order to get the full concept of the look - it is amazingly gorgeous! It has a higher heel and the cut of the boot is quite feminine. The harness addition has a bit of a "ribbon" look to it, almost as if it had been draped around the ankle rather than fastened. It is available in both a short and tall version, and can be found in a few rich and earthy colors. If you are a lady who loves a feminine looking boot, this is the one to check out!

Frye Maxine Harness - This is a harness version of the Maxine, which has a longer, taller, riding-inspired basic style. Well into last year (2009) I saw the "Trapunto" harness supplant the original Maxine harness, which has a bit of a ridge going down the center of the harness strap. This boot is also quite feminine and is a classic look that will always be in style.

There are other harness boots for women available from Frye - some having more of a western edge to them, some with a gorgeous feminine appeal. The list above however appear to contain the hottest selling women's Frye Harness boot styles for 2010.
